5S – THE FIRST IMPRESSION OF QUALITY IN A WORKPLACE.

5S is a Japanese housekeeping method of shaping-up the shopfloor, office and home. 5S, abbreviated from the Japanese words Seiri, Seiton, Seison, Seiketsu, and Shitsuke, are simple but effective methods to organize the workplace. In English, it means housekeeping, workplace organization, cleanup, keep cleanliness, and discipline. It is widely used in established organization to strengthen QCDS (Quality, Cost, Delivery & Safety). It is an excellence management tool for promoting good performance in a workplace. Therefore, 5S is the 1st impression of QUALITY IN WORKPLACE.
